“When they’re inside me where its dark, I walk around like Noah’s ark”

There was a moment when it all seemed right. When the planets aligned, the stars spoke of good omens and the creatures of the Earth were in harmony.

Then, there was the moment when the very wind seemed a friend. Continuously breezing at the perfect temperature. Bringing with it all the wonderful smells of youth and romance and joy.

She sat just over there, across the room. Then she stood just there, on the sidewalk. Hoodie or coat. Hair down, or in those adorable tails I love so much.

A bar, music, a drink. Thoughts tumbling in my head, like a shoe in a dryer.

I guess I never learned what is and what isn’t okay to say out loud. The character building practice of silence, and just how much it speaks.
